Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D is a basic port from the Nintendo 64 version of the game (or perhaps the other way around, but in any case they're identical on both systems) with the exception of the main screen and the cheat codes.
Genre: Action - Combat - Sci-fi

Languages: English
Released: December 2, 1998
Size: 47.6 MB
Company: Lucasfilm / Disney
It is a time of great rejoicing in the galaxy. Luke Skywalker, with the help of Wedge Antilles, has blown up the Death Star. But there is little time to celebrate. The mighty Empire is gathering strength for a determined, all-out assault on the Rebel forces.
To save the Rebel Alliance from this Imperial onslaught, Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles have assembled the Rogue Squadron, a group of twelve of the most skilled battle-tested starfighter pilots. You will fly into battle as Luke Skywalker, to engage in intense, fast-paced planetary air-to-ground and air-to-air missions ‒ dogfights, search and destroy, reconnaissance, bombing runs, rescue assignments, and more.
● Take on the Galactic Empire in X-wings, Y-wings, A-wings, V-wings, and snowspeeders.
● Prove you’ve got what it takes against a slew of the Empire’s best and baddest, including AT-AT walkers, AT-STs, TIE fighters and more.
● Test your flying skill through extraordinary environments ‒ over water, through canyons, deserts, and volcanic regions.
● Astonishing 3D details include real time lighting and special effects (explosions, smoke, engine glow, tracer fire and more).

3 years agoI've created ISO patchers to get classic Star Wars games running on modern PCs!
UPDATE 1: Star Wars Episode I Racer patch now available!
UPDATE 2: New links to Copy instead of Google Drive since that was giving people issues
UPDATE 3: New links to OneDrive, since Copy is being shut down :( Hopefully these links will remain live indefinitely!
Ever happened to dig up CD-ROMs of your favorite old games from the better part of 20 years ago and wondered 'I wonder if this will run on my PC' only to try it and encounter a plethora of compatibility issues? That was pretty much the story for me, but being the tinkerer that I am I couldn't just leave it at that. First I found fixes, unofficial updates, and mods all around the internet that brought the games up to runnable status. Then I went a bit deeper and started tinkering with the CD-ROM files themselves. I wanted to preserve the original experience as much as possible, so that rather than jump through a lot of hoops just to install the game and then search for a bunch of mods to get it actually running, I could just pop the CD in and pretend it hadn't aged a day.

The results are what you see below: ISO patchers which update these games on the installation CD level to create modified disk images that are fully compatible with modern PCs. Click the titles to download the patchers, follow the instructions here or in the included 'readme' files, and enjoy! Consider this my contribution to the gaming community to keep the classics alive.

Note that NONE OF THESE PATCHES ENABLE PIRACY OF THE GAMES! All CD checks are still present and accounted for.
How to use ISO Patchers:
Step 1: Dig up your old CDs
Step 2: Download ISO creation software like ImgBurn or CDBurnerXP. Use caution, though: both programs will offer to install browser toolbars and the like. Always be sure to choose the 'advanced' or 'custom' installation route and decline all additional software included in the installation package.
Step 3: Use your imaging software of choice to create ISO files of your CDs. You'll likely find that a few .MDS files are created in the process as well--you can simply delete these.
Step 4: Download the ISO patchers from the links above and extract them to the same folder as the ISO files you just created.
Step 5: Drag-and-drop the ISO files of the games to their respective patchers. A command-line window will appear and request administrator access. Grant it so that the patcher can create and erase temporary files for the patching process. Patching takes less than a minute for each game.
Step 6: A patched ISO will be generated. Windows 8/10 users can simply double-click the patched ISO files to mount them. Windows 7 users and earlier will need software such as WinCDEmu to mount the ISO files as drives or alternatively to simply burn the images to blank CDs.
Step 7: Install and run the games just like you did in the old days!
Optional 1: For JK/MotS, run the game and go to Setup > Controls > Options > Load Configuration. There will be a configuration named 'Modern Binds'. Load it and the keyboard and mouse will be bound to adapt to modern FPS/TPS conventions.
Optional 2: For multiplayer play on Racer, open the 'Configure Star Wars Episode I Racer Multiplayer Settings' shortcut created in the start menu (or run IPXCONFIG.EXE directly from the installation folder). This application may need administrator access to function. In the window that appears, select your active network from the Network Adapters box and ensure that 'Enable interface' is enabled. Other fields will be filled automatically. Click Apply/OK and then run Star Wars: Episode I Racer. You can now host/join multiplayer matches!
